Terms of Service
Last updated: 6 November 2026
These terms apply to everyone who uses trade-crates.tf (“the site”, “we”). The site is operated from Romania. By signing in or sending a trade you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. What the site does
trade-crates.tf lets you buy and sell Team Fortress 2 items (crates, cases, keys, metal and some other items) with automated trading bots, through the official Steam trade offer system. We never take real money and never pay out real money: every trade is an exchange of in-game items.
2. Not affiliated with Valve
We are not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Valve Corporation. Team Fortress 2 and Steam are trademarks of Valve. TF2 items are licences granted by Valve; your use of them is also governed by the Steam Subscriber Agreement, which you must follow.
3. Who can use the site
- You must be at least 18 years old, or have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
- You need your own Steam account that is allowed to trade (no trade ban, Steam Guard enabled).
- You may only trade items that you own and are allowed to trade.
4. Your account
You sign in only through the official Steam login; we never see your Steam password or Steam Guard codes. You are responsible for keeping your Steam account secure. We may suspend or block an account that breaks these terms.
5. Prices and trades
- Prices are shown before you send a trade and can change at any time until the bot sends the offer.
- A trade is complete only when you accept the Steam trade offer and Steam finishes it. Offers expire if they are not accepted in time.
- Every offer carries a verification code shown on the site. Only accept an offer whose code matches. We are not responsible for offers from impersonators.
- Completed trades are final. Steam does not let us reverse a trade.
- Steam trade holds and Steam outages are outside our control and can delay a trade.
- If a price is obviously wrong because of a technical error, we may cancel offers that were not accepted yet.
6. Donations
If you send items and ask for nothing back, the site treats the trade as a donation and asks you to confirm it first. Donated items are not returned.
7. Inventory value calculator
The value calculator shows estimates based on community market prices. They are for information only and are not an offer, except for the “we'll pay you instantly” amount, which is what the bots pay at that moment, within their stock limits.
8. What you must not do
- Trade stolen items or items obtained by fraud, chargebacks or scams.
- Exploit bugs or pricing errors, or try to break, overload or scrape the site.
- Use the site for money laundering or any illegal activity.
- Impersonate our bots or the site.
9. Liability
The site is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profit or changes in item value. Our total liability for a trade is limited to the value of the items in that trade. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
11. Law and contact
These terms are governed by Romanian law. For questions or problems with a trade, message us through the owner's Steam profile.
